We know the role that terror and tyranny play to oppress people.
We know what happens when decisions are made about us without us.
We know oppressors were losing their grip on power as more gains were made through the blood, sweat, and tears of oppressed peoples.
We know the playbook.
The time is now to act accordingly and NOT get caught up in analysis paralysis. Inaction is exactly when they want.
Turn Thoughts into Actions
So what can we do?

Starve the Empire – stop spending one cent on corporations and businesses that are not values aligned. Before a purchase, examine who is in charge, where and how they are sourcing materials, and who benefits from the profits

Feed Your Values – start being strategic about where, when, and how you are using your time, talents, and resources. This is about more than where you spend your money. Your time and energy are also investments. Act accordingly.

Connect with Others – continue to examine who you spend time with and what you are doing in community. Community is a verb. We are highly influenced by who we spend time with. Connection is not only about other humans but our more than human kin. When’s the last time you had a ‘kinning’ day with Mama Nature. It’s been too long for me. Pick a date and time to sit in a nature rich place for a few hours. Just existing. No phones, books, just you, the critters, the water, the plants and trees.
If we want something different, our actions must reflect that. We who believe in freedom cannot rest!
